Katarina Wadén

PhD student, DMD, MD

I have a DMD and MD from Karolinska Institute, Sweden. During my medical studies I did my degree project within the Vascular Surgery research group and got thrilled over the cardiovascular science so I continued with doctoral studies within the same area. My research takes a clinical perspective via different clinical risk assessments into molecular mechanism in carotid atherosclerotic patients.

Except of challenging my knowledge by studying multiple degrees, I like to spend time with my family and friends at our summer house in the Finnish archipelago and train CrossFit so I can enjoy chocolate whenever.
